Antam to Seek Permit to Export 6m Tons of Nickel Ore

Jakarta. Indonesian state miner Aneka Tambang will apply next week for a permit to export 6 million tons of nickel ore for a year, a company spokesman said on Friday (10/03).

The company, better known as Antam, will seek export permission from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, corporate secretary Trenggono Sutioso told Reuters.

There has been market speculation about the amount of nickel ore Antam is planning to export after the government partially lifted a three-year ban on shipments of the commodity.
