CVMR Corporation of Toronto, congratulates Dr. Arthur B. McDonald of Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, and Dr. Takaaki Kajita of Japan, for winning the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics for their groundbreaking research in Neutrinos. Their discovery of neutrinos’ oscillations shows that neutrinos have mass, yet they move at the speed of light.
CVD Manufacturing, a subsidiary of CVMR Corporation was a proud sponsor of the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) project where most of this research was carried out. CVMR® refined and manufactured 1,000 highly pure nickel tubes, free of radioactivity, to capture the neutrinos in the heavy water of the geodesic glob buried some 2.5 kilometers in a Sudbury mine shaft.
