India’s First Nickel High Purity Strategic Metals Refinery in Andhra Pradesh

CVMR's expansion in the Indian market continues with the setting up of its first high purity nickel refinery in the State of Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India – 13 March 2025; CVMR®’s Chairman and CEO and its Indian executives, in a landmark move, met with Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu and senior administrative leadership team at their offices in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. This marks CVMR®’s extended interest in the Indian market by initiating its third project in this country.  CVMR®’s first project for production of iron powders is successfully underway and is expected to be commissioned by December 2025. The Joint Venture with Maheshwari Mining, extends the reach of CVMR®’s Indian mining capabilities substantially, and now by setting up its first High Purity Nickel plant, leveraging its patented transformative vapour metallurgy technology CVMR® has shown its conviction in the streagth and growth potential of Indian industries such as aerospace, EV batteries, automotive, electronics, 3D printing and injection moulding. CVMR®’s nickel project will be producing 10,000 tonnes per annum of high-purity nickel intended primarily for consumption by the high growth manufacturing sector across India.

 

This project was extremely well received by the State Government of Andhara Pradesh. The State Government extended its full support and coopration in helping to establish this important project in India.
