CVMR at the DRC Presidential Business Roundtable Hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce
CVMR® participated in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Presidential Business Roundtable held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. During the event, President Félix Tshisekedi outlined the DRC’s economic priorities and engaged in dialogue with senior U.S. business leaders. He highlighted key investment opportunities across mining, energy, infrastructure, technology, health, education, and agriculture, while emphasizing the importance of resource evaluation, mining development, and on-the-ground processing of the country’s mineral wealth. President Tshisekedi underscored that local processing and refining would create significant value for the DRC economy while generating attractive returns for U.S. investors, reinforcing the importance of win-win partnerships.
CVMR®, represented by Poly Mutombo, President of CVMR® Africa, was invited to the roundtable in recognition of the company’s more than 40 years of expertise in metal refining technology and its role in addressing global shortages of critical minerals. CVMR®’s integrated approach, combining geoscience, mining operations, and state-of-the-art modular refining, closely aligns with the DRC’s strategic vision and is expected to generate long-term employment while building local technical capacity. As a result, CVMR® anticipates an official invitation to visit the DRC to engage with federal and provincial authorities to explore strategic partnership opportunities.
