CVMR Corporation initiates Albania’s first environmentally-neutral nickel refinery, heralding a new era of sustainable industrial progress
April 11, 2025 – Toronto, Canada -- CVMR Corporation (CVMR®) is pleased to announce that, on April 4, 2025, its subsidiary CVMR (Albania) received a license from the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) to establish the first nickel refinery in Albania. This milestone follows the encouragement of the Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Edi Rama, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Honourable Belinda Balluku, and the support of Mr. Nuri Belba, Mayor of Prrenjas.

Start of the CVMR refining project in Amarillo, Texas
On Monday, 18th of November 2024, officials of CVMR (Texas) Inc. met with the members of the Amarillo Economic Development Committe (EDC), to prepare for the groundbreaking of the first phase of the CVMR refinery, producing 10,000 tpa high purity nickel powders and nickel nano powders based on CVMR’s proprietary powder metallurgy processes and technologies.

Kamran M. Khozan, Chairman and CEO of CVMR group of companies, had the honour of visiting the Right Honourable Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa. They discussed the potential of establishing a number of refineries for critical metals based on CVMR’s technologies, in a number of African countries. A new Project by CVMR® starting January 2025 in the beautiful and fast-growing country of Albania.
CVMR ® (Albania), (hereinafter “CVMR ®”) has commenced the establishment of a major nickel refinery in central Albania at Qafë Thanesë, Prrenjas. The company has acquired a 50-acre property designated as Free Industrial Zone, to build the first phase of two World Class nickel and iron refineries in modular form, based on CVMR ®’s proprietary vapour metallurgy, with the ability to expand the first phase of the operation three folds. The first phase will produce 10,000 tons per annum of high purity nickel and iron powders and nano powders.
