The Ministry of Energy and Mines of Burundi is pleased to announce the following new developments in the mining and metal refining sector of the country:

On 7 of November 2017 the Burundi Cabinet approved the applications by La Societe CVMR Energy Minerals Burundi SURL and its Canadian sister company, CVMR Energy Minerals Inc. of Toronto, Canada (CVMR®) for exploration in the following concessions: Nayabikere, Waga and Mukanda. The concessions have proven and estimated reserves of nickel, cobalt, iron, copper, PGMs, vanadium and titanium. The Conventions for the above concessions were signed, today 20 November 2017, between the Minister of Energy and Mines, Honourable Côme Manirakiza and Chairman and CEO of CVMR Energy Metals of Burundi, Mr. Kamran M. Khozan

Waga-Nayabikere: Covers 218 Square Kilometers and has a total estimated reserve of 1,088,000 Metric Tons of Nickel; 25,200,000 Metric Tons of Iron; 30,000 Metric Tons of Cobalt and 17,800 Metric Tons of Copper at a total estimated value of $30 billion US.

Mukanda: Covers 144 Square Kilometers and has a total of 6,500,000 Metric Tons of Proven Reserve of Vanadium; 7,300,000 metric Tons of Probable and 5,000,000 Metric Tons of Possible Vanadium reserves; 2,600,000 Metric Tons of Iron and 67,000 Metric Tons of Nickel. The value of contained Vanadium in the Proven Reserves at today’s prices is $600 million US.

CVMR® has committed approximately $40 million in US dollars for the surveys and drilling to prove the reserves in these properties and to complete their piloting and Feasibility Study. Work has already begun and the government of Burundi expects to receive CVMR®’s Bankable Feasibilities Studies for these properties in due course.

To carry out the work CVMR® has entered into an agreement with a local Burundian Engineering firm, Jacob Mining Engineering and has asked a South African based international engineering firm, DRA, to provide the detailed engineering and project management for these concessions.

The refineries will be built in modular forms and operated in situ at each location. The majority of the staff will be hired from local people who will be trained and certified by CVMR®. When fully operational the company expects to have hired about 1,500 local technicians and workers at these sites.

JJNI Nickel Carbonyl Plant will be put into production in October, 2007

JJNI's nickel carbonyl project, with a capacity of 2000 tonnes per annum, was funded by public offering of JJNI shares. This project uses the atmospheric pressure carbonyl technology of CVMR®, a Canadian company. Construction of the plant has been completed. JJNI expects the plant will be put into production in October, 2007.

Philippines ministerial announcement: CVMR® Exploration Rights

The Honorable Angelo T. Reyes, Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, announced that the Philippine Government has awarded exploration rights in the Province of Eastern Samar to CVMR® Resources (Philippines) Inc. CVMR® Resources is a subsidiary of Chemical Vapour Metal Refining Inc. (CVMR®), a Canadian corporation specialized in highly integrated mining and refining of nickel, cobalt and PGMs with proprietary, state-of-the-art vapour metallurgy refining technology.

CVMR® expressed its appreciation for the confidence in it expressed by the Philippine Government. CVMR® Resources has undertaken to carry out a regional geological reconnaissance survey in compliance with the 2-year exploration work program that had been previously submitted by the corporation to the Mines & Geosciences Bureau. The surveys will identify regions for exploratory auger drilling to begin definition of the occurrence and nature of the nickel mineral deposit at CVMR® Resources' tenement in Eastern Samar.

It is expected that a nickel laterite resource base will eventually be delineated, that would be sufficiently large to support an economically viable commercial operation, producing at least 30,000 tonnes of nickel products per annum. Such a project would provide direct employment for at least 1500 individuals, and hundreds more support personnel, and would contribute to a robust economic activity in the Province of Eastern Samar, with particular benefits flowing to the three municipalities of Quinapondan, Balangiga and Giporlos. This project will contribute to the advancement of the Philippines' dynamic mining industry by establishing a world class fully integrated processing and refining operation in the Philippines.

Let me start by thanking Honorable Sec. Gen. Reyes for his leadership, support and the tough due diligence he put our organization through until he and his officials were satisfied that CVMR® was qualified for this permit.

The scrutiny and the process we went through was thorough, and CVMR® is proud to have qualified. In this process, we were impressed by the professionalism, dedication to duty and thoroughness of the executives of the Department of Environment & Natural Resources and all its Bureaus under Gen. Reyes' leadership.

CVMR® is ready, willing and able to start exploration and testing of the sites in Samar as of today. At CVMR® Resources (Philippines) Inc., 96 % of our management and engineers and staff are Filipinos. We are also proud of the fact that in this process we will use all local subcontractors. Our General Manager, Mr. Garzon Duenas is a veteran of mining and refining industry in the Philippines. This project will commence under his management. We are proud to have one of the safest records in our process over the past 25 years with zero accident and absolutely neutral environment environmental impact.

As our presentation to Gen. Reyes indicated, we will be hiring local people immediately and Samar will start experiencing the true economic effect of our presence in that Province very shortly.
